Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana, and I work with adults and teens who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, substance use, relationship challenges, ADHD, and grief — often more than one of those at a time. I'm inquisitive by nature: I'm genuinely interested in understanding your story, not just categorizing your symptoms. I'm also solution-oriented, which means we don't just sit in the pain — we move through it with purpose. My sessions are fully virtual, which means you can show up from wherever you are in Louisiana, on your schedule, without the extra barrier of driving somewhere. I accept Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon Behavioral Health, so cost doesn't have to be what keeps you from getting started.

My approach to therapy

I pull from several frameworks — CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Gestalt — but I don't apply them rigidly. I use what fits you. CBT helps us identify thought patterns that keep you stuck. SFBT keeps us focused on where you're going, not just where you've been. Motivational Interviewing is particularly powerful for substance use and behavior change — it meets you where you are without judgment or pressure. And Gestalt helps us pay attention to what's happening in the room, in real time, not just in theory. I bring warmth and directness into every session. You'll never feel like you're being analyzed from a distance.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation — not a checklist. I'll ask questions about what's going on for you right now, what you've already tried, and what would feel like progress for you. You don't need to have everything figured out before you show up; that's what the session is for. My goal in the first meeting is for you to leave feeling heard and clearer on what working together could look like. There's no pressure to commit on the spot — I want the fit to feel right for both of us. Come as you are. That's more than enough.
