Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Macheda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or uncertain about what comes next. Many of my clients are used to being strong for others but privately feel stretched thin, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to keep carrying everything they’ve been holding. Therapy can be a space to pause, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and self-understanding.

Through my experience in healthcare and individual settings, I’ve supported people and families during some of life’s most challenging and vulnerable moments. As an immigrant, I also understand how culture, identity, family expectations, and lived experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and navigate change. I recognize that emotional struggles do not happen in isolation, and I take care to understand the full context of your experiences rather than focusing only on symptoms.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. My approach is warm and supportive while also helping clients build skills and gain insight. I draw from ACT, SFB, DBT, CBT and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients manage challenges, strengthen resilience, and move toward their goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and talk about what support looks like for you. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin building a plan that helps you move toward meaningful change.
