Hi, I'm Mackenzie. I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in mental health services for first responders and professionals in high-stress occupations. Drawing from my personal background as the daughter of a retired law enforcement officer, I offer culturally competent therapy tailored to the unique challenges faced by individuals in roles such as law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, healthcare and the military. Sessions are conducted via telehealth to provide flexibility and accessibility with availability in the evenings and the weekends. I see individuals and couples and is available to provide specialized programs for outside agencies
Therapy with me is a conversation. I'm human first, therapist second, and that means you'll get honesty, humor, and yes, cuss words if that's your style. We'll look at what's working, what isn't, and figure out practical ways to move forward. I'll challenge you when it's needed, but always with respect and compassion.
We will go over paperwork, all the business side of things, and make sure we are a good fit for each other. I start every first session with the statement, "If I am not the right fit for you, please tell me. You won't hurt my feelings. Let's work together to find you someone who fits better." Then I follow up, "tell me what's going on."
