Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Mackenzie! I have years of experience working in higher levels of care with clients experiencing substance use disorders, eating disorders, OCD/specific phobias, anxiety and depression. I understand that the healing journey can feel overwhelming, which is why I prioritize what matters most to you in our sessions. My approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration, and I utilize evidence-based practices tailored to meet your specific needs.

My approach to therapy

I have a passion for working with teens and transitional aged adults, taking a systems and trauma informed lens in my practice. I help my clients uncover the roots of trauma, emotional pain, and challenging relationship dynamics. I am particularly drawn to exploring the connection between perfectionism, anxiety, and unresolved inner wounds.

What you can expect from me

I am diligent about taking a trauma-informed lens in my practice. EMDR is a modality that treats mental health conditions that occur as a result of trauma, or adverse life experiences. EMDR can help you uncover the roots of negative core beliefs that may be impacting your daily functioning. By bilaterally stimulating the brain and talking through past, present, and future stresses, I can help you create more adaptive, positive, and helpful neural pathways. Additionally, I have training and expertise in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which can help you build "life skills" to be more mindful and present in your life. Whether you need assistance with managing stress, regulating emotions, or navigating relationships, I can help you learn and practice the coping skills you need. Together, we will create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
