Great to meet you!

We all have the ability to renew our minds and transform our lives; counseling is a wonderful tool to help us do this! My name is Mackenzie, I am passionate about meeting individuals where they are to help them process trauma and pain, find healing and build skills to move from a place of chaos to calm. I graduated with my MSW in 2018 and continued gaining experience in the field, working towards my LICSW license which I obtained in 2024. My private practice, which I launched in 2025, has allowed me to provide the niche of Christian-Based Counseling. In addition, for the past 5 years I have been working with older adults in an outpatient medical setting helping them navigate the challenges of life and aging. My background and much of my experience has also been in trauma work and recovery from PTSD.

My approach to therapy

I believe in an individualized and person-centered approach and use a combination of therapy styles to best suit each client’s needs. Empathy and a healthy therapeutic relationship are cornerstones of successful treatment, so you can expect an emphasis on getting to know you as a whole person and ensuring you feel comfortable to open up about whatever is on your mind or heart. I offer Biblical and Christian-Based Counseling for those seeking a therapist who understands their faith and its central role in the healing process.

What you can expect from me

As we begin, we will review the therapy process and policies to make sure you have clarity on the logistical pieces. I will ask you to share with me as much as you are comfortable about the problems or concerns you're having currently, your history and what brings you to therapy at this time. The first session can tend to feel a bit more like a Q&A, but the goal is for me to understand a bit about you and what you're looking to work on in therapy. It's important for us to be on the same page as we start this journey so I can be as helpful and effective as possible as we work together!
