Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Mackenzy, LPC!

I know how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. I’ve always had a passion for helping others feel understood and supported, which led me to pursue a career in counseling. My journey into the mental health field began in 2019, working closely with youth and families, and I’ve been providing counseling services in Arizona since 2021.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Grand Canyon University and have since focused my work on helping children, adolescents, teens, and young adults navigate life’s challenges. Whether it's anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, life transitions, or trauma, I aim to meet each client where they are—with compassion, patience, and curiosity.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, with a strong focus on tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. I integrate evidence-based techniques with a client-centered perspective, often incorporating art and play therapy to support creative expression and deeper emotional insight. I am known for being patient, understanding, and genuinely supportive, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that fosters both growth and healing.

Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I put great care into building a safe, trusting environment where young people and their families feel heard, validated, and empowered. My approach combines modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused techniques, choosing what best fits each client’s needs and personality.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to walk away from our sessions feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools they can use in everyday life. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring what’s on their mind. Whether we're working on building coping skills, improving communication, understanding emotions, or navigating life’s challenges, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual.
