Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Macy Peterson, a licensed therapist with a strong passion for helping individuals heal from trauma, navigate grief, and build a meaningful life beyond pain. I specialize in trauma and PTSD and provide a safe, supportive space for clients to work through complex emotional experiences at their own pace.

I am certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, and Grief and Bereavement Counseling. I use these evidence-based modalities to support the mind-body connection and help clients regulate their nervous systems, release stored trauma, and develop lasting resilience.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Management, a Master’s in School Counseling, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Therapy. These degrees have given me a well-rounded foundation for working with clients across diverse backgrounds and life stages.

I believe that healing is not linear, and therapy should be tailored to your individual needs and values. Whether you're feeling stuck in survival mode, coping with unresolved loss, or seeking deeper connection and clarity, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, skill, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and deeply client-centered. I draw from evidence-based practices like EMDR, ACT, neurofeedback, and grief counseling to help clients heal at both the emotional and nervous system level. I believe in meeting each person where they are—honoring their pace, their story, and their innate capacity to grow.

Therapy with me is a collaborative journey. I create a safe, grounded space where you can process difficult experiences, reconnect with your inner strength, and learn tools that promote long-term resilience. Whether you're working through trauma, navigating grief, or seeking clarity in your life, I tailor sessions to your unique needs while supporting both insight and practical change.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions with a deeper sense of clarity, calm, and connection to themselves. Whether we’re processing trauma through EMDR, working with the nervous system through neurofeedback, or exploring values and direction through ACT, each session is tailored to support healing and forward movement.

You can expect to feel seen, heard, and supported in a space that is free of judgment. My goal is for you to walk away with practical tools for regulation and resilience, a clearer understanding of your emotional landscape, and a growing confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges. Over time, you’ll begin to notice shifts—not just in how you think, but in how you feel, respond, and show up in your life.
