Great to meet you!

I specialize in Autism Spectrum and related neurodevelopmental conditions and learning differences. With over 35 years of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to improving the lives of children, youth, and families with special needs and chronic stress. My approach is shaped by both my professional work and my personal experience as a parent of a now adult with ADHD/Autism Spectrum. This perspective fuels my passion for helping every client overcome barriers while also empowering individuals and families with information and tools to achieve better outcomes and life planning for special populations.

I started working with IDD/Traumatized children and youth in 1985. I graduated from UT-Arlington in 1997 with a Masters in Social Work, and almost finished a 2nd Masters in Mind, Brain, Education in 2018. I have worked in emergency shelters, domestic violence programs, substance abuse intervention, parenting skills, case management, developmental and educational health care for children, residential treatment of children/ adolescents, acute care ICU for adults, and founded 2 non-profit companies to meet the unique needs of children and families with special needs through Applied Behavior Analysis therapy program and a special needs private therapeutic K-12 school in Granbury, Tx. I am excited to share my experience and knowledge through direct 1:1 therapy/counseling with children, adolescents and their caregivers.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I focus on the whole person—integrating proven strategies for improving social, communication, emotional regulation, and executive function skills needed in navigating life changes and challenges. My work goes beyond traditional therapy, as I am also an independent practitioner for NeuroNet, a neuro-motor program, and The Tomatis Method, a neuro-sensory cognitive approach for children and youth with developmental and learning differences. I am particularly committed to using neuroscience-informed, evidence-based interventions to achieve each person's potential and an overall balanced approach to healthy well-being.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients will feel validated and equipped with better understanding, skills and tools to meet their goals. Beyond direct interventions, I provide a great deal of education and social service case-management to ensure every client has access to resources to support their unique journey.
