Great to meet you!

You may look like you're managing everything on the outside while privately feeling anxious, on edge, or still affected by experiences you thought you had moved past. Maybe you're questioning who you are after trauma, struggling in your relationships, or simply tired of carrying emotional pain that others cannot see. Therapy can be a place to finally make room for your own healing. I provide individual therapy for adolescents, adults, and seniors in Texas, with a focus on anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and women's issues. I also support clients navigating depression, relationship concerns, family stress, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, substance use, bipolar disorder, chronic health conditions, and other challenges that can become intertwined with difficult experiences. With five years of experience, my goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can understand what you've been through without allowing it to define where you go next.

My approach to therapy

Your responses to difficult experiences often make more sense when you understand what your mind and body have been trying to protect you from. Instead of asking you to simply push past uncomfortable emotions, we'll work together to understand them, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop healthier ways to move forward. Anxiety and PTSD can affect relationships, identity, trust, and your sense of safety, while depression, substance use, family difficulties, or chronic health concerns may add another layer to what you're carrying. We'll explore these connections as part of your whole experience rather than treating them as unrelated problems. Depending on your needs, I may draw from EMDR and Trauma Focused CBT to help you process painful experiences, Seeking Safety to strengthen coping and stability, Internal Family Systems informed work to approach different parts of yourself with greater understanding, Attachment Based and Narrative Therapy to explore relationships and your personal story, Motivational Interviewing to support change, and Strength Based approaches that recognize the resilience you already possess.

What you can expect from me

You won't be expected to tell your entire story or revisit painful experiences before you're ready. Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know you, understanding what feels most important right now, and identifying goals that reflect what you want to change while moving at a pace that feels manageable. As trust develops, we'll work together to strengthen coping skills, understand emotional patterns, process difficult experiences when appropriate, and recognize progress both inside and outside of therapy. My hope is that our work helps you feel safer in your own life, more confident in who you are, and less controlled by experiences from your past. You have already survived what brought you here. Therapy can help you decide what you want the next part of your story to look like.
