Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to making high-quality mental health care accessible to everyone, especially individuals in underserved and rural communities. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and through telehealth.

I believe mental health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and free of judgment. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, or another mental health concern, we’ll work together to build a treatment plan that fits your life, not someone else’s.

I combine evidence-based medicine with a whole-person approach, recognizing that sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and daily habits all play an important role in emotional well-being. My priority is helping you feel better while empowering you with the tools to thrive long after our appointments.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best mental health care starts with listening.

Rather than rushing to prescribe medication, I take time to understand your story, your goals, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. Every treatment plan is individualized because no two people experience mental health the same way.

When medication is appropriate, I carefully explain the benefits, risks, and available options so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also emphasize practical strategies that support long-term wellness, including healthy routines, coping skills, therapy, stress management, and lifestyle modifications.

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and focused on helping you make meaningful, lasting progress, not just simply managing symptoms.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is all about getting to know you.

We’ll spend time discussing your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and the goals you hope to accomplish through treatment. I’ll ask questions to better understand how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or school, and there will always be time for you to ask questions as well.

By the end of the visit, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan together. This may include medication recommendations, therapy referrals, lifestyle strategies, or additional resources depending on your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clear plan for moving forward.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first visit, that’s what we’re here to work through together!
