Great to meet you!

I’m Madeline, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work and a specialty in mental health. I have four years of experience providing individual therapy, with my clinical background rooted in private practice. I work especially well with highly self aware clients, intellectualizers, and those navigating grief, life transitions, and women’s issues, using Emotion Focused and somatic approaches. As a first generation Mexican American, I value culturally affirming care and believe your culture, identity, and lived experiences are an important part of the therapeutic process. Most importantly, I believe you are the expert on yourself. I’m here to guide you, not tell you who to be, and I want to treat you like a person, not a patient.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in the belief that therapy is not about fixing what is wrong with you, but creating space to better understand yourself. I often work with clients who understand why they feel a certain way but have difficulty connecting with their emotions or what is happening in their body. Using Emotion Focused and somatic approaches, we may explore emotions, patterns, body cues, and how your experiences have shaped the way you navigate life today. I want therapy to be a space where you can slow down, be honest, and explore without judgment while honoring your culture, identity, and lived experiences.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk about what brings you to therapy, and begin understanding what you hope to get from the process. I also want you to use that time to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you, because finding the right fit matters. If I’m not that person, that’s okay. My goal is to empower you to find the support that feels right for you, and if we are a good fit, we can begin creating a path forward together without expecting you to have everything figured out on day one.
