Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Maddy and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California who is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges, better understand themselves, and feel more confident moving forward. I have experience supporting young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and personal growth. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and centered around what works best for you. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), harm reduction, and strengths-based approaches to help you better understand yourself and navigate life's challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can be yourself and talk openly about whatever is on your mind. I'll meet you where you are while also encouraging you to see things from different perspectives, recognize your strengths, and make positive changes at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting to know each other and helping you feel comfortable. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of our time together. I'll ask some questions about your background and current challenges, but there's no pressure to share everything right away. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where you can be yourself. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and comfortable taking the next steps together.
