Many of my clients are used to being the strong one. They are the person others rely on, the employee who always pushes through, or the young adult trying to balance work, relationships, and the pressure to have everything figured out. From the outside they often seem high functioning and successful, but internally they feel anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in cycles of overthinking, perfectionism, and people pleasing.
I specialize in working with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, burnout, depression, relationship stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many of the clients I work with are stuck in survival mode—constantly overthinking, holding themselves to impossible standards, and feeling like they have to keep pushing no matter how overwhelmed they are. They often struggle to rest without guilt, set boundaries without fear, or slow down without feeling like they’re falling behind. Over time, this can leave them feeling disconnected from themselves, emotionally drained, and unsure how to keep carrying the weight of everything on their own.
My approach is warm, genuine, and practical. I use CBT and DBT informed therapy to help clients better understand themselves while also building tangible coping skills that actually translate into everyday life. Sessions are not just about talking through stressors. Together, we work on emotional regulation, anxiety coping skills, stress management, boundary setting, communication skills, distress tolerance, and learning how to challenge negative thought patterns without feeling consumed by them. My goal is to help clients feel more confident managing emotions, relationships, and daily stress in a way that feels sustainable long term. I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and human. Whether you are feeling burnt out, emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own, you do not have to navigate it alone.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I use evidence-based strategies from DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness skills; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges; and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to support clients in clarifying their values and taking meaningful action, even in the face of difficult emotions.
I bring humor, empathy, and practical tools into every session, because therapy can be hard work—but it can also be a place where you feel seen, safe, and even a little lighter. My goal is simple: to help you navigate life’s challenges without losing yourself, to remind you that you’re supported- especially when the road feels rough, and to give you the tools and hope to move forward with courage, confidence, and hope.
In your first session with me, you can expect a thoughtful and collaborative intake process where we dive into your unique story, explore your challenges, and clarify your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to understand what’s been weighing on you, how it’s showing up in your daily life, and what has or hasn’t worked in the past. Together, we’ll start identifying patterns, strengths, and opportunities for growth, so that therapy feels purposeful and tailored to you.
While the session is structured to gather the information needed to build a personalized plan, it’s also warm, approachable, and supportive. You’ll have the space to be fully heard, understood, and even explore your emotions without judgment. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with clarity, insights, and practical tools you can begin using right away. My goal is to create a foundation of trust and safety, so you feel confident that therapy is not only a space to process, but a place where real, meaningful progress is possible.
