Great to meet you!

A peaceful place to be heard, understood, and restored. Rooted in wisdom. Guided by compassion.

I’m a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner providing thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care that integrates both medical and therapeutic approaches. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Temple University in 2019, with a focus in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, and later completed a post-master’s certification in Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 2024.

My clinical background spans the full continuum of care across the lifespan. I have worked extensively with military service members and veterans, gaining a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and the complexities of balancing mental health with identity, work, and relationships. I also have experience in inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry, where I supported youth and families through acute mental health needs. In addition, I serve as the primary psychiatric provider for a large assisted living community, caring for nearly 450 geriatric residents across multiple levels of support. These experiences allow me to approach care with a broad, nuanced perspective across all stages of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I take time to understand your story, your goals, and what’s worked (or hasn’t) in the past. When appropriate, I integrate medication management with psychotherapy, using trauma-informed, emotionally-focused, and strength-based approaches. I often work with individuals who are used to “pushing through” but are now feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and are looking for a more sustainable way forward.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and stress related to school, work, or life transitions. Many people reach out not only for themselves, but also for a child or an aging parent, and I’m experienced in helping families navigate those situations with clarity and support. Whether you’re seeking care for yourself, your child, or your parent, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with greater balance and confidence.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—many people I work with have been thinking about reaching out for a while before they actually schedule.

In our first session, my focus is on helping you feel comfortable and getting a clear understanding of what’s been going on. We’ll talk through what brought you in, what you’ve been dealing with day to day, and any relevant history—but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. I meet you where you are.

We’ll also begin identifying what you want to feel different or better. If you’re not sure yet, that’s completely okay—part of my role is helping you figure that out. Together, we’ll start building a plan that feels realistic and tailored to your needs.

If appropriate, we may discuss whether medication could be helpful, and I’ll explain options in a straightforward, collaborative way so you feel informed—not overwhelmed.

By the end of the session, most people leave with a clearer understanding of what’s going on, a sense of direction, and a plan for next steps. Just as importantly, you’ll get a feel for whether this is the right fit for you.
