Great to meet you!

I have nearly a decade of experience providing therapy for people just like you. I am fully licensed in the state of Texas, and a Registered Play Therapist. I also have a Master's Degree in Community Mental Health.

I love being a counselor because it is so full of hope. I get to be the guide who knows where the light at the end of the tunnel is. I get to walk with you while you become stronger, braver, and healthier until you reach that light. Then I get to cheer you on as you build the future you've always longed for.

You are welcome to call or email me for a free 20 minute consultation about whether or not I can help you.

My approach to therapy

I want to remove aloneness. I specialize in helping people get unstuck. I use talk or play therapy (Person-Centered Therapy) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Sometimes a memory can feel "stuck", like we're still living that moment. EMDR uses the brain's natural functions to "unstuck" a memory so that you can recall the memory instead of relive it. We spend time working through the body, instead of just the thoughts or feelings.

No trauma is too big, no irritation is too small for us to face without judgment and find a way through.

Please visit my website, www.joyinthemorn.org for more specific information about my services.

What you can expect from me

We will always work together as a team to get you where you want to go. You don't have to feel alone anymore. Even though therapy is hard work, my clients often tell me that they leave session feeling lighter.

Our first session we'll set goals and talk about treatment options.

Then we'll explore your life story together.

If we choose EMDR next is the reprocessing phase, this sometimes takes awhile.

Once your goals are met, we'll spend a few sessions wrapping things up and planning for your future!
