Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have been practicing for over 7 years and working in mental health for 10 years. I am passionate about celebrating and embracing neurodivergence rather than demoralizing it. People often assume that laziness displayed by people with ADHD is a moral failing, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts various aspects of successful 'adulting', and it certainly doesn’t equate to laziness. I help clients uncover their turning point where they start embracing their unique brains and learning to leverage their strengths. Sometimes, this means producing more art; making a major career shift that offers more sustainability; finding enthralling methods to sort laundry, craft grocery lists, and manage their once-dull household tasks; or engaging in multiple rotating projects.

My approach to therapy

My approach emphasizes emotional and behavioral tools, unlocking resilience that leads to your long-term, sustainable changes. With intentional exploration of your inner world you will enhance your relationship with the external world. Together, we’ll explore what happened, how it made you feel, and what actions you can take in similar situations that align with where you envision yourself. Through developing deepened curiosity and learning compassion, you will cultivate a new understanding of these emotions, unlocking loads of potential for how you navigate the rest of your life. We’ll reflect on the deeper meaning of your experiences, helping you live a more authentic life aligned with your values.

What you can expect from me

With awareness and informed responses, you can gain control over your inner reactive part of your brain and navigate your life more effectively. Individual therapy is a transformative journey, encompassing the deconstruction of limiting perspectives, refining your beliefs and overall outlook, and nurturing personal growth. Through this process, you’ll discover the unique language of your mind and body, enabling more precise communication with yourself and others. Effective communication and boundaries are vital to building positive, supportive relationships that uplift you. This safe and supportive environment allows you to be your authentic, unmasked self. I invite you to lean in, as there are few places in life where you can freely explore the most profound aspects of your psyche. You’ll learn practical skills to manage intense emotions and communicate better while practicing mindfulness to notice unhelpful thoughts as well as how to effectively feel your feelings.
