Great to meet you!

With more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, including nine years as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care in a safe and supportive environment. My extensive nursing background has taught me that healing begins by listening with empathy, treating each person with dignity, and recognizing that every individual's journey is unique.

I earned my Doctorate Degree of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from University of North Florida and have devoted my career to helping adults achieve emotional wellness through evidence-based, patient-centered care. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions.

My practice focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling while considering the whole person—not just the diagnosis.

Whether you are seeking care for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, my goal is to partner with you in developing a personalized treatment plan that promotes healing, resilience, and long-term well-being. I consider it a privilege to support my patients as they work toward living healthier, more fulfilling lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with building a trusting relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I take the time to understand not only your symptoms, but also your life experiences, strengths, and personal goals.

Using an evidence-based and holistic approach, I partner with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, and supportive therapy. I recognize that mental health is influenced by many factors, including physical health, relationships, and life experiences, and I strive to treat the whole person—not just the diagnosis.

My goal is to empower you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to make informed decisions about your care, improve your emotional well-being, and achieve lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Meeting a psychiatric provider for the first time can feel both hopeful and overwhelming. My goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your story.

As a doctoral-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 35 years in healthcare, including nine years in psychiatric care, I bring experience, clinical knowledge, and a strong commitment to treating each person with respect and compassion.

During our first session, I will take time to understand you—not just your symptoms. We will discuss your concerns, history, lifestyle, and goals so we can develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Our approach is collaborative. I encourage questions and open communication. If medication is appropriate, I will explain your options clearly so you can make informed decisions. We may also discuss coping strategies and lifestyle changes to support your well-being.

I use an evidence-based, holistic approach that considers the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

By the end of your visit, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident that we are working together toward your mental health goals.
