Great to meet you!

I am a licensed bilingual (English/Spanish) Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting adults and older adults through life's most challenging moments. My career began in trauma work, and I have continued to build specialized training in approaches that help people heal from difficult experiences, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, and ongoing training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have a particular passion for supporting women navigating hormonal changes, grief, life transitions, attachment wounds, and generational trauma. I also enjoy working with members of the Latinx community and strive to provide culturally responsive care. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported as you move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. My approach is client-centered and gentle while also helping you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we will explore the impact of past experiences, relationships, and current stressors while building practical tools to navigate life's challenges. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including DBT, EMDR-informed practices, IFS-informed work, and Motivational Interviewing, depending on your needs. Above all, I want you to feel empowered, heard, and capable of creating lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and talk about what you hope to gain from our work together. I will also ask questions about your personal history to better understand the context of your experiences, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no expectation to share everything right away—therapy is a process, and we'll move forward together with care and curiosity. By the end of the session, we'll begin identifying goals and discussing a path that feels supportive and achievable.
