Great to meet you!

My name is Maggie Garvey and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from Marquette University in 2021. I am passionate about making you feel safe and heard in a non-judgmental setting. I believe that everyone is capable of finding the answers and change within themselves, and that we are not meant to do this journey alone! It is okay to accept help and give yourself grace during these difficult times.

My approach to therapy

We will work together to find a treatment style that works for you and your presenting concerns. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning that I use a variety of therapeutic approaches that best match your individual needs. I emphasize in trauma therapy, multicultural issues, relationship issues, stress, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression.

What you can expect from me

I am dual credentialed as a substance abuse counselor and have experience with personality disorders, domestic violence and abuse. I believe searching to identify the root of the issue is the best way to heal and understand ourselves. I am a safe place for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and people of color.
