Great to meet you!

Scrolling through profiles? If you’re reading through many profiles, you may be wondering whether you’ll actually find someone who can help.

Finding the right person and therapeutic approach matters. I'm trained in narrative and solution-focused therapy and teach these modalities at San Diego State University. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, engaged therapist, reach out and we can see if it’s a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My work is informed by training in Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with an emphasis on working with trauma and resiliency. My PhD research examined Narrative Therapy and trauma - with a focus on the effects of re-authoring stories of resilience. I am also trained in EMDR, CBT, and Gottman Couples Therapy.

What you can expect from me

  • In our first few sessions, my aim is build rapport and trust, and get to know your hopes and goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions about your goals, challenges you’re facing, and what you would like to accomplish in our work together.
  • There is an infinite number of ways in which people can critique and pathologize themselves - I help to deconstruct unhelpful ways of thinking about the self so that you think with clarity and feel better.
  • I help keep you focused on what you already do well, what you want to more of and how to build more of that.
