Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a trauma-focused therapist specializing in EMDR. I work with teens and adults who feel stuck in patterns they can’t fully explain, whether that shows up as shutting down in relationships, overreacting to small things, or carrying a heaviness that won’t lift. My background includes working with adolescents in residential treatment and survivors of sexual assault, and I focus on helping clients process unresolved experiences so they can respond to life with more clarity and stability. My approach is grounded, supportive, and focused on lasting change; real healing, not just short-term coping.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-focused and rooted in attachment-focused EMDR, with an emphasis on helping clients understand how past experiences continue to affect their present. I view each person as a whole, with body, mind, emotions, and behaviors all interconnected. I pay close attention to the nervous system and to patterns that show up in relationships, emotions, and reactions, especially those that seem confusing or disproportionate. In sessions, I create a grounded, supportive space where we can process what is unresolved so you can experience more clarity, stability, and genuine relief.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will seek to know more about you, your reasons for seeking therapy and your previous therapy experiences. We will discuss any fears or questions about the process then go from there. Just like meeting any new person, the first few meetings gradually build the therapeutic relationship and trust; this is the groundwork for the deeper work to come.
