Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Maham Mansoor, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).As Muslim American in Silicon Valley, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients from adolescents to adults in Northern California and I utilize CBT and EMDR in my practice . I am multilingual in Urdu, Hindi, and English. Coming from a multicultural background, I can attest to the lifestyle adjustment from Eastern to Western systems and values.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Many of my clients are adjusting to major life events, recent and past traumas, panic attacks, as well as addressing anxious and depressive symptoms such as low self-esteem and low motivation. My practice is driven by a trauma-informed lens to allow for safety and an empathic connection. I use dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, expressive art therapy, among other modalities as therapeutically appropriate.I provide individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. I am also trained and specialize in EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for clients with PTSD and Historical Trauma.

What you can expect from our first session

Ideally, our first meeting would be in-person where we can discuss if hybrid/virtual is appropriate. Our sessions will always be within 50-60 minutes. In our first couple meetings, I will be assessing and collaborating with you on goals for treatment.
