Great to meet you!

I’m Mai, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in anxiety, trauma, and relationship stress. I work primarily with adults and young professionals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or caught in patterns they want to change but have not been able to shift on their own.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware adults who feel mentally exhausted from overthinking, burnout, or trying to keep up with expectations that never seem to slow down.

My background includes clinical training at Children’s National Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic Adult Psychiatric Unit, and UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Therapy with me focuses on understanding the patterns behind anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm and helping you build practical ways to feel more grounded and in control.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, structured, and collaborative.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and attachment-based work to help clients regulate anxiety, process difficult experiences, and improve communication in relationships.

Sessions are thoughtful and goal-oriented. We focus on understanding the patterns behind stress while also developing practical tools that make day-to-day life feel more manageable.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a supportive and focused conversation where we clarify what has been weighing on you and identify the patterns behind your stress or anxiety.

Together we begin identifying practical next steps and strategies that may help.

Most clients leave the first session feeling understood, more grounded, and with practical strategies they can begin using right away.
