Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Maia Hawk, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a primary focus on working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Throughout my years as a counselor, I have had the opportunity to work in both school and private practice settings, supporting youth and young adults through a variety of challenges and concerns. My experience has allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.

My approach to therapy

I emphasize a person-centered approach and place a strong emphasis on clients being active participants in their own healing journey. I view counseling as a collaborative journey between myself and my clients, where we work together to build a trusting and supportive professional relationship. My goal as a counselor is to create a space where clients feel accepted, heard, and supported while working collaboratively to find greater balance, emotional well-being, and self-fulfillment in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will review expectations, as well as the responsibilities of both the client and counselor. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing your goals, and exploring how we can work together to make counseling a comfortable and supportive experience.
