Great to meet you!

I’m Maikel A. Bruceta, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults improve their mental health and overall quality of life. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent several years working as a registered nurse, including extensive experience in critical care, which shaped my compassionate, thorough, and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, PTSD, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. I believe treatment should be individualized—there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health.

My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable discussing what you are going through. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and work collaboratively with you to develop a plan that fits your needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Whether you are seeking treatment for the first time, struggling with symptoms that have been difficult to manage, or looking for a provider who will truly listen, I am committed to helping you move toward greater stability, confidence, and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I take time to understand each client’s concerns, goals, and lifestyle before developing a treatment plan. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy, with a focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, panic disorder, and sleep concerns. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and involved in their care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, and treatment goals. I’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, answer your questions, and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and confident about the next steps in your care.
