Great to meet you!

I would want my clients to know that therapy is a collaborative process and that my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can be themselves. I strive to build trust by listening carefully, respecting each client's unique experiences, and tailoring treatment to their individual goals. I also want clients to know that while I will support and challenge them when appropriate, I believe lasting change comes from working together. My goal is for every client to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and evidence-based. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can explore challenges and work toward their goals. I tailor treatment to each individual's needs, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. I also incorporate strengths-based and mindfulness techniques when appropriate. My priority is building a strong therapeutic alliance because trust and connection are essential for meaningful change. Throughout treatment, I regularly assess progress with the client and adjust interventions to ensure therapy remains effective and aligned with their goals.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my primary goal is to help clients feel comfortable and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I explain confidentiality, its limits, and what they can expect from the therapy process. I invite clients to share what brought them to therapy, discuss their current concerns, and explore their personal history, strengths, and goals. I also complete an initial assessment to better understand their needs, including any safety concerns if appropriate. By the end of the session, we work together to identify initial treatment goals and discuss a plan for moving forward. I want clients to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful that we have a clear path together.
