Great to meet you!

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Tennessee, and I have been in practice since 2015. Most of my clients are veterans and people working through trauma that has not responded to surface-level approaches. I started my career as a teacher before becoming a therapist, which shaped how I work with people: meet them where they are, understand how they take in information, and build from there.

I work entirely online, which means no commute and no waiting room. My schedule includes Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, which works well for people juggling demanding schedules or managing the unpredictability that comes with military life. I bring a faith-sensitive lens to my work, and I welcome clients for whom their spiritual life is part of the conversation.

I accept Aetna through Headway, which means your cost per session is likely lower than you expect. If you are not sure what your plan covers, Headway handles the benefits check before your first session.

My approach to therapy

I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, all grounded in attachment and trauma research. EMDR is particularly effective for veterans and trauma survivors because it helps your nervous system process what happened, not just understand it intellectually. IFS helps us understand the different parts of yourself that developed as a response to pain and brings them into a healthier relationship with each other.

I do not believe one method works for everyone. Couples work is a genuine strength of mine. Relationship therapy with me goes to the underlying patterns, often shaped by service, stress, and things that were never talked about directly, not just surface-level conflict resolution.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I want to understand what brought you here, what has and has not worked before, and what you are hoping feels different. There is no pressure to share everything right away. My goal is for you to leave the first session knowing this is a space you can actually use.

I have availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, which offers flexibility for those with irregular schedules or demanding weekday commitments. Saturday slots tend to fill first for veterans and working adults, so booking early is worth it.
