Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with individuals across different stages of life, including adults and older adults, as well as experience providing group therapy and working in private practice. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, and I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and holistic, with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), while incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s individual needs. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.

I recognize that each client has unique experiences, strengths, and needs. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthy coping strategies and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to support clients in building self-awareness, emotional well-being, and resilience while honoring the whole person and their individual therapeutic journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace. We will take time to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore the concerns or challenges you would like to address.

We will begin identifying your goals for therapy and discuss how we can work together to support your emotional well-being. I believe in taking a collaborative approach, so your experiences, needs, and goals will help guide our work together. You can expect to leave our first session with a better understanding of the therapeutic process and a foundation for moving forward at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
