Great to meet you!
Renova Psychiatry is led by Makenna Francis, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care with a focus on nervous system support, stability, and long-term mental and cognitive health.
Renova’s approach is grounded in three core areas:
- Nervous system regulation. The nervous system plays a central role in how we respond to stress, sleep, focus, and emotions. When it is under constant strain, people may feel anxious, overwhelmed, unfocused, or emotionally reactive—even when they are doing “all the right things.” Supporting regulation and recovery helps create the conditions for clearer thinking, steadier emotions, and more sustainable progress over time.
- Stability before escalation. Many psychiatric symptoms fluctuate or respond inconsistently when the nervous system is overloaded. Care at Renova prioritizes stabilizing sleep, stress response, and baseline functioning so treatment decisions are clearer, better tolerated, and more effective.
- Long-term mental and cognitive health. Treatment is designed to support not only short-term symptom relief, but lasting mental clarity, emotional resilience, and cognitive health over time.
Through years of work in medical and clinical settings, Makenna developed a strong appreciation for prevention, pacing, and supporting overall system health rather than relying solely on reactive treatment.
Renova Psychiatry works with adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, mood concerns, and stress-related burnout. Services include psychiatric evaluations and medication management, with thoughtful consideration of relevant labs and nutritional factors when clinically appropriate. Care emphasizes collaboration with therapy, safety, and long-term stability.
