Great to meet you!

You may be someone others rely on; capable, strong, and used to holding everything together. Yet internally, you might feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from yourself. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, it can be exhausting trying to manage it all on your own.

I’m Malanne Slater Coleman, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and I work with adults who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up fully as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out.

My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based, and person-centered approaches. I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, helping you build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen your relationships. I also support couples in enhancing communication, deepening connection, and navigating challenges together.

With a background in psychotherapy and a passion for supporting individuals through life’s complexities, I understand how past experiences, current stressors, and internal expectations can shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. My goal is to help you gain clarity, feel more grounded, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.

In addition to my clinical work, I am the author of 31 Days to a Merry Modern Marriage (available at Amazon.com) reflecting my commitment to helping individuals and couples build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Seeking support is a powerful step. If you’re ready for healing, clarity, and growth, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe each person’s experiences are unique, so I tailor treatment to meet your specific needs and goals. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based, and person-centered approaches, I help you explore patterns, build effective coping strategies, and develop greater self-awareness. Together, we create a safe, supportive space where you can gain clarity, heal, and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know one another. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you may have. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. We’ll begin identifying areas of focus and discuss how we can work together moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and more at ease.
