Great to meet you!

I’m Malavika— my clients call me Mal. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and I’m really glad you’re here.

I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges and multicultural or immigrant family dynamics. Many of my clients are used to holding a lot—giving, overextending, and feeling stretched thin, while patterns in relationships feel hard to shift.

Often, they’re high-achievers or the “responsible one,” used to showing up for others while putting their own needs aside. Others may feel stuck in the same relationship patterns or find themselves pulling back when things feel overwhelming.

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and grounded in mindfulness, attachment-informed work, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I offer culturally attuned, client-centered care rooted in a strong therapeutic relationship.

Together, we’ll gently explore the patterns that show up in your relationships—especially the ones that leave you feeling stuck or disconnected—and find practical, meaningful ways to shift them so you can feel more balanced and more like yourself.

What you can expect from me

My aim is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s coming up—without judgment.

When you feel safe, real change starts to feel possible.

We’ll start with what’s on your mind and what’s bringing you in, and get a sense of how it feels to work together. Along the way, I may ask a few questions to better understand you and what meaningful change might look like for you.
