Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Malcolm, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who got into this work for one simple reason: I genuinely like helping people through the hard parts of life. I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, and the weight of past experiences, with a real focus on communities that don't always have easy access to good care. I offer both talk therapy and medication management, and I believe you should never feel like just another appointment. If you've been putting this off, that's okay. The fact that you're here already says a lot.

My approach to therapy

My style is calm, open, and built around you, not a script. We figure out what's actually going on together, and you always have a say in your treatment instead of being told what to do. I draw from supportive therapy, CBT, and trauma-informed care, and I adjust to the person in front of me, your background, and what your life actually looks like. I keep things warm and real while still holding the boundaries that make care work. You'll feel heard here, not judged.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is low-pressure and mostly about you telling your story while I listen. There's nothing you need to have figured out ahead of time. We'll talk through what brought you in and what you'd like to feel different, then start shaping a plan together. I'll be honest with you that treatment takes a little time and some fine-tuning, and that's completely normal. My goal is for you to leave feeling like you finally found someone in your corner.
