Great to meet you!

During my long career, I have counseled numerous individuals from all walks of life, in both private practice and as Clinical Director of treatment programs for Eating Disorders & Substance Abuse where I trained counselors and supervised patient care. I have lived with different cultures in Europe, India, Trinidad, and South America. I have learned through this range of human experience and my counseling career, that mental, emotional and physical suffering impact all living beings. My passion is to help adults and seniors on their individual life's path. I have learned that it is through Self-awareness that we can transform suffering into healing & peace of mind.

My approach to therapy

Deeply compassionate, my work with clients is rooted in empathy and connection. My style is direct (born and raised in NY)!, non- judgmental and can be humorous. I use an eclectic blend of modalities, meditation techniques, Eastern psychologies & assignments. Areas that we can address include, but are not limited to: sadness, anxiety, relationships(mending/ending), life transitions, aging, food and substance addiction, sickness, dying, grief, religious trauma and spirituality.

What you can expect from me

You can expect that the goals you want to reach are identified and explored. During your follow up sessions-we will explore these goals and, if needed, modify them and possibly identify new goals. You will gain insight into your own mind and your situation. You will develop self-awareness, emotional regulation and mental clarity=peace, happiness, and self-confidence/trust to experience life with wisdom, authenticity and joy.
