Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what is happening in your life without feeling judged, while also receiving the support and guidance needed to create meaningful change. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, substance use concerns, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from the life they want to be living.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I value creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel comfortable being themselves, while also being appropriately challenged to look at patterns that may no longer be serving them. For clients who desire it, I am also comfortable incorporating Christian faith and spirituality into therapy while maintaining evidence-based clinical care.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative and tailored to the individual rather than based on a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, and other evidence-based interventions depending on each client's needs and goals.

Much of my work focuses on helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and choices. We may explore what is within your control, identify patterns that keep you stuck, clarify what genuinely matters to you, and develop practical ways to respond differently when difficult thoughts or emotions arise. I also incorporate trauma-informed approaches and am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for clients who may benefit from trauma-focused work.

What you can expect from me

You can expect therapy to include both reflection and action. My goal is for you to leave sessions with greater insight into yourself, but also with practical tools you can use outside of therapy. Together, we will work toward helping you respond to difficult emotions more effectively, recognize and interrupt unhelpful patterns, strengthen boundaries and coping skills, and make choices that are more consistent with your values and the life you want to build.

I will meet you where you are while also encouraging growth when you are ready for it. Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes our first task is simply understanding where you are, what is no longer working, and what you would like to be different.
