Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Malika McKinley, LCSW.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, and other challenges that can leave them feeling overwhelmed or stuck. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I believe that each person has unique strengths and abilities that can be used to overcome challenges and create meaningful change. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

I work alongside clients to identify goals, build effective coping skills, and develop practical strategies for managing life's challenges. I recognize that every individual is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your specific needs, values, and circumstances.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, depression, or feeling overwhelmed, I strive to help you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals so I can better understand your unique situation.

This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and discuss ways therapy can support you
