Great to meet you!

About Your Therapist:

I specialize in helping adults and young adults navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that may be keeping them from experiencing the peace, confidence, and healthier relationships they desire.

Together, we’ll identify what isn’t working, heal emotional wounds, establish healthier boundaries, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful change rooted in confidence, clarity, and purpose.

I also have extensive experience working with couples and families seeking more positive and healthier relationship outcomes, whether that means improving communication, rebuilding trust, navigating conflict, strengthening emotional connection, or developing healthier family dynamics. I provide a supportive space where difficult conversations can happen and meaningful, lasting change can take place.

I’m Malikka Miller, LCSW, a faith-informed psychotherapist whose approach is empowering, collaborative, and thoughtfully direct. Clients often describe me as knowledgeable, compassionate, practical, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard and understood while also being appropriately challenged.

Together, we’ll identify practical tools and evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique needs, helping you move beyond survival-mod toward healing, growth, and lasting emotional wellness.

Faith and spirituality can also be thoughtfully integrated into our work when they are important to you.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone different; it’s about reconnecting with the healthiest version of yourself. If you’re ready for change, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take the next step.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change begins with understanding what’s keeping you from experiencing the emotional wellness, relationships, and quality of life you desire.

My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Therapy should feel like a conversation where you don’t have to pretend everything is okay.

Together, we’ll explore the experiences, emotional wounds, beliefs, behaviors, and relationship patterns that may be keeping you stuck while identifying practical steps that help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose. This may include healing past wounds, strengthening boundaries, improving communication, developing healthier coping skills, or recognizing patterns that have caused you to accept less than you deserve.

I’ll meet you with compassion while also thoughtfully challenging you when growth requires it. Because every person and relationship is different, I tailor therapy to your unique needs using evidence-based approaches that support emotional wellness, healthier relationships, and meaningful, lasting change.

Whether you’re healing from painful experiences, navigating anxiety or life transitions, working through relationship or family challenges, or simply recognizing that something in your life needs to change, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered to move forward.

Healing isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, and you don’t have to take that journey alone.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to show up with everything figured out. You just have to be present.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll spend time learning about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will be different in your life. This is a judgment-free space where you don’t have to pretend to have it all together.

We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while still being intentional about making progress. Before we end, we’ll identify the areas we’d like to focus on and create a plan that reflects your goals, not someone else’s expectations for you.

My hope is that you’ll leave our first session feeling lighter than when you arrived, with greater clarity, renewed hope, and a sense of confidence about the path forward.
