Great to meet you!

I am a mental health therapist with my Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University. I have worked in various mental health care settings. I work with both teens and adults both in person and virtually. I specialize in working with eating disorders/disordered eating, anxiety, depression, life transitions, body image/self-esteem, and more.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in several modalities and will pull them into my sessions as necessary based on client needs. I mostly pull from Somatic Experiencing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( RO DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I practice from a client-centered approach and will pull in other elements when relevant to the client as well (art, music, film, books, etc.). I do my best to meet every client where they are at in their journey by creating a safe and supportive place.

What you can expect from me

The first session will go at the clients pace! I always say it is a "get to know you" session as I come with many questions but I let the client know, they can chose not to answer everything or talk about certain subjects. I also am happy to answer any relevant, appropriate questions as well. We will go over the paperwork and plans for future sessions. in the session as well. Depending on if it is a virtual or in person session, I will send an email prior with instructions on where to meet.
