Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mallory Cooper. I have been practicing since January 2018 and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I’m passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and understood as they work through difficult seasons in life.

I especially enjoy helping individuals and families find healing, strengthen their relationships, and build a deeper sense of compassion and love for themselves and one another. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can show up as they are, feel heard without judgment, and begin moving toward growth and healing at a pace that feels right for them.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, family stress, and life challenges.

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on building coping skills, processing painful experiences, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, or helping you better understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical — a place where you can feel safe while also gaining tools to create meaningful change in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my main goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking through what brings you to therapy, and discussing what you hope to gain from our work together.

I’ll also explain what you can expect from the therapy process and answer any questions you may have. From there, we’ll begin identifying goals collaboratively so our sessions are focused on what matters most to you.

You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. The first session is simply a place to begin, share your story at your own pace, and take the first step toward healing and growth.
