Great to meet you!

My name is Mallory and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I've worked in the mental health field for 8 years and gained experience with a variety of ages, identities, and mental health challenges. My expertise is primarily in treating anxiety, panic, relational challenges, self-esteem issues, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I see clients via telehealth and in person in San Marino, CA.

My approach to therapy

I've learned a trauma-informed approach from years in the field serving diverse populations, and draw a lot of inspiration from Jungian Psychology, somatic theory, and humanistic-existential therapy. My style is also client-centered, meaning we start where you are. It's okay to be stuck or come up against limits. The process of therapy helps us to acknowledge and bring awareness to what's happening. From there we can explore the barriers to change and potential actions.

What you can expect from me

When people finally get to therapy, they are usually in need of gentle, compassionate support. I strive to create a safe and accepting container for us to explore vulnerable topics. I typically avoid giving directive advice, but rather support people in exploring their options and what they can do given the circumstances.
