Great to meet you!

You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, therapy can give you space to understand what’s happening and start moving forward. I work with adolescents and adults, including veterans, military service members, and their families, as well as individuals impacted by trauma and intimate partner violence. My background in military mental health, victim advocacy, and trauma-informed care has shaped the way I support clients through difficult experiences. I want you to feel understood as a whole person, not defined by what you’ve been through.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and focused on helping you make meaningful progress toward the life you want. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, CPT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, while tailoring treatment to your needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all formula. We’ll work together to understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, and develop healthier ways to navigate your emotions, relationships, and experiences. You set the pace, and I’ll meet you where you are.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you want to change, and what you hope therapy can help you accomplish. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll start with where you are, identify a few realistic goals, and create a plan together that feels manageable and relevant to your life. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about what comes next.
