Mamie Lumpkin-Gordon

Hello. My name is Mamie Lumpkin-Gordon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Central Florida. I completed my graduate studies at Adelphi University in New York. I have an extensive background working with adults and children with special needs in addition to working with many other populations. I have been a practicing therapist for 9 years and am passionate about helping all my clients. I strive to empower all those that I have the pleasure of interacting with. My desire is to support the client on their personal journeys, by providing evidenced based strategies coupled with compassion and insight.

I partner with the client to heal and to become the best version of themselves, I specialize in trauma and help the client to make connections with their past and present. I enjoy working with teens, young adults and women who may be struggling with significant life-changes. My approach is direct, yet gentle. In sessions, clients will see a therapist who is strength-based and solution-focused.

Progress will be managed using measurable and collaborative goals. The needed amount of time will be spent establishing rapport to set the foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe space for my clients with a completely open-minded and impartial demeanor at all times.
