Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background that spans both school-based services and clinical work with children, teens, and families. The last six years of my career have been in public school settings supporting students in special education, helping teams understand the “why” behind behavior, strengthening coping skills, and building practical supports that work in real life (classrooms, home, and community).

I have experience supporting clients with selective mutism, trauma-related concerns, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and a wide range of other mental health needs. I also bring clinical experience from chemical dependency work and hospice care, which shaped my ability to support people through high-stress transitions, grief, and complex family dynamics. Additionally, I have worked closely with teenagers navigating emotional dysregulation and self-harm behaviors, with a strong focus on safety, skill-building, and strengthening protective supports.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and practical. I prioritize creating a space where you feel heard and understood, and I take time to learn what life looks like from your perspective. From there, we work in a skill-building, task-oriented way, because insight matters, but tools and follow-through are what create change day-to-day.

I specialize in trauma and anxiety in children and adolescents, and I also work well with neurodivergent clients, including those with autism. I enjoy teaching concrete skills (emotional regulation, coping strategies, communication, social skills, and problem-solving) and helping clients practice those skills in ways that fit their real-world environment.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and completing an assessment so I can understand your concerns, history, strengths, and what you want help with. We’ll begin identifying patterns that may be getting in the way, and we’ll set mutually agreed-upon goals so therapy feels clear and purposeful.

You can also expect a calm, supportive environment. While counseling can involve hard emotions and difficult conversations, I believe therapy should still feel safe, an office you can exhale in, and a place you can actually look forward to coming to while we do the hard work together.
