Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), an evidenced-based therapy used in treating PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other distressing life events. Finding a therapist is an extremely personal experience. I work to ensure you are comfortable with our therapeutic relationship, and if not, I offer referrals to other therapists who may be a better fit.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have experience working with individuals, families, groups, children, adolescents, and women in outpatient programs, inpatient programs, and community mental health settings. I specialize in working with women and adolescents struggling with distressing life events, such as trauma, chronic pain, depression, suicidality, self-harm, anxiety, and neurodiverse differences.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal for our sessions is to make therapy as helpful as possible in the shortest amount of time possible. I subscribe to a Solution Focused therapeutic orientation, which means, I believe every person has the capacity to improve their mental health. Some people just need help uncovering those abilities. I work from a relational perspective and am passionate about helping clients discover healthier ways to communicate and relate with others.
