Great to meet you!

Making the decision to begin therapy can feel difficult, and I recognize the courage it takes to reach out for support. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing your experiences openly.

I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Even when we know we want things to change, it can sometimes feel difficult to understand why we continue to experience the same thoughts, emotions, or relationship struggles. Therapy can help bring greater awareness and understanding while creating opportunities for meaningful change.

I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen and understood. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and meeting each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, help you gain insight into yourself, and support you in creating a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual's needs. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques with psychodynamic theory to help clients better understand both their present experiences and the deeper patterns that may be influencing their lives.

Using CBT, we work to identify unhelpful thoughts, emotional responses, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress while developing practical coping skills and healthier ways of responding to challenges. Through a psychodynamic lens, we also explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be impacting current struggles and shaping the way you see yourself and connect with others.

I primarily work with individuals and often help clients explore relationship issues, including communication patterns, boundaries, attachment experiences, and recurring relational challenges. My goal is not only to help you feel better in the moment, but also to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself so you can create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and creating a foundation for our work together. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or intimidating, especially if it is your first experience with counseling, so I strive to create an environment where you feel welcomed and at ease.

During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, explore the concerns that are most important to you, and talk about your personal history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. There is no expectation to share everything all at once. Therapy is a process, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our first session, clients often leave with a better understanding of how we can work together, a sense of being heard and supported, and hope that positive change is possible.
