Great to meet you!

I have 17 years of clinical experience with adults, children, adolescents and couples/families in the border region Juarez-El Paso.

I got my first professional license in Mexico as a clinical Psychologist in 2008. I moved to the United States when I was 27 years old to pursue my professional license in this country in 2012 . As a result I am a bilingual Therapist conducting sessions both in Spanish and English in a binational community. I have 5 years of clinical experience in Mexico, which allows me to have a binational perspective to treat diverse populations at the border region Juarez-El Paso. My clinical experience working with immigrant children, survivors of trauma and domestic violence, kids with special needs, military families, couples and blended families gives me a broad perspective on serving the community at this border region. I have over six years of experience testifying in court.

“No matter how bleak or menacing a situation may appear, it does not entirely own us. It can’t take away our freedom to respond, our power to take action.” ― Ryder Carroll

My approach to therapy

The approach I use in therapy is based on your individual needs. Once we assess your immediate need and we set expectations and goals for therapy, we start with the chosen approach to facilitate your process and progress. I use evidence-based approaches and I am not limited to a single option for therapy since I prioritize matching the one that is more beneficial for each client. We are all unique.

What you can expect from me

Having the courage to seek therapy and book your first appointment is the first step to make a difference for yourself. That process itself can be stressful. I am here to offer you a nonjudgemental and compassionate space where you can feel safe to share your story.

Life is full of challenges and stressors but when we approach life from our strengths, the path is easier to navigate. One of my goals in therapy is not only to help you overcome the hardships , but guide you to a better life in spite of it. Guiding you to find balance based on your priorities and values is one of the things I stress in sessions to help you to achieve your goals and thrive.
