Great to meet you!

I am an LCSW trained in EMDR and passionate about working with trauma and addictions. I received my Master's in Social Work at Rutgers University in NJ where I was born and raised. I have since spent most of my post graduate career in Richmond, VA. I primarily work with the adult population and am currently pursuing certifications in sex education and sex therapy.

I really enjoy using Polyvagal theory, CBT, DBT, person-centered, and more holistic modalities in my practice and tend towards a casual, relaxed, and engaging energy.

Having spent most of my career focused on trauma related issues with clients, I work hard to create a safe environment for clients to bring whatever issues to the table that they need to completely judgement free.

My clients might describe me as silly and energetic while also being warm and grounded. Creating a safe and comfortable environment for my clients is a big part of my work and I am an LGBTQIA+ competent and affirming clinician.

My approach to therapy

I try not to take myself too seriously in my approach to therapy but I deeply enjoy learning new modalities and perspectives to better serve my clients.

What you can expect from me

I'd like my clients to leave session feeling like something was accomplished even if that only looks like feeling lighter than they were 53 minutes ago. I enjoy taking a problem solving approach to therapy but I also recognize sometimes having a safe space to share can be enough at times.
