Great to meet you!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I am a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families across a variety of settings.

I strive to create a supportive, empathetic, and collaborative space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. My approach is strengths-based and tailored to each person's unique experiences and goals, and I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in an affirming environment.

I commonly work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, and emotion regulation. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop practical coping tools, and create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and feel supported in exploring what is bringing them to therapy. I believe therapy works best when individuals feel heard, understood, and able to be themselves without judgment.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and mindfulness-informed. I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and may draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Unified Protocol (UP), mindfulness-based practices, and other evidence-based strategies when helpful.

I also believe therapy should provide practical tools that can be used outside of sessions. Together, we can identify goals, build coping strategies, and develop skills that support meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and explore what is bringing you to therapy, including how your experiences may be affecting you emotionally and in different areas of your life. We will also review important topics such as privacy, limits of confidentiality, and what to expect from telehealth sessions.

I will ask questions about your personal, family, and mental health history, as well as substance use history and other important areas related to your overall well-being to better understand your experiences and help guide treatment planning.

The goal of the first session is to begin understanding your concerns, identify what you hope to gain from therapy, and develop a plan for moving forward while working together.

Together, we can begin creating goals that feel meaningful to you, whether that involves managing anxiety or depression, improving communication and relationships, building self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, or developing effective coping strategies and stress management skills.
