Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a CPA. My accounting background is foundational. It is not what I practice, but it shapes how I understand the pressures my clients live with. Years in the financial world taught me how capable people manage what they can measure. Counseling taught me that the hardest problems are never on the balance sheet. I understand the business side of life, the pressure of performance, deadlines, and responsibility, as well as the personal side that carries it all. I work with professionals, couples, and adults navigating stress, burnout, career transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is person-centered and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, REBT, and attachment theory. I believe most people who come to therapy are not broken. They are responding sensibly to demands that changed faster than anyone could adjust. Our work together is about understanding those patterns and recalibrating them. You do not need a crisis to start. Most of the people I work with are high-functioning and simply ready to understand themselves better. If that sounds like you, I would be glad to meet you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered at its core, which means you set the direction and I bring the structure. I draw on evidence-based methods including CBT, REBT, and attachment theory, but I fit the method to the person rather than the other way around. I tend to be curious, direct, and practical. We will look at the patterns underneath what is bothering you, because the thing that brings you in is rarely the whole story. I do not see my clients as problems to be fixed. I see people whose responses made sense at some point and may simply need recalibrating for the life they are living now. You can expect to be challenged gently, understood genuinely, and to leave sessions with something you can actually use.

What you can expect from me

A conversation, not an interrogation. The first session is about getting a clear picture of where you are, what brought you in, and what you want to be different. I will ask questions, but you decide how deep we go on day one. There is no pressure to unpack everything at once. By the end, you should have a sense of how I work, whether it feels like a fit, and what our starting point looks like. The most surprising part of a first session is often how normal it feels. You talk, I listen closely, and together we start building a picture of what is actually going on. That baseline becomes the foundation for everything that follows.
