My approach to therapy

Marcel’s clinical approach is relational, affirming, and culturally responsive. He is intentional about creating a brave, supportive therapeutic space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to show up as their full selves. Marcel believes that self-awareness is the cornerstone of healing, and he partners with clients to deepen their understanding of who they are, how their experiences shape them, and how they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence. His work honors the intersection of identity, culture, and lived experience, helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our initial session will focus on getting to know you as a whole person, including your lived experiences, cultural identity, strengths, and challenges. I believe self-awareness is the foundation for meaningful change, so we will begin gently exploring patterns, emotions, and goals at a pace that feels supportive and collaborative. There is no pressure to have everything figured out therapy is a process, and we move together. As a culturally responsive clinician, I honor the impact of culture, identity, and systemic experiences on mental health. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning after a break, my goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful.
