Great to meet you!

I am pleased to offer both individual and couple’s counseling services in a private practice setting. My training as a therapist involves psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory and my approach with clients is process oriented, integrative and individual. Areas of specialty are grief and loss as well as women’s health including fertility issues among others.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in several evidenced based practices to treat anxiety disorders, depression and trauma. My approach to working with clients is based on individual strength(s), need(s) and culture. Privacy, confidentiality, empathy and ethical considerations guide my clinical abilities. I am dedicated to remain educated, informed and open to learning. The quality of the client/therapist relationship is essential to the overall process.

What you can expect from me

A client might expect to start feeling change within, simply from being able to express themself to another human being in a safe space. The benefits of psychodynamic therapy aim to support a client through process and human connection and this experience should begin within the first few sessions. Symptom alleviation and improved emotional and psychological health could involve more dialectical or cognitive approaches practiced both within the therapy setting and between sessions.
